This is the official blog for The Big C: Big Comedy Gala, a one-night-only charity event, staged as part of the 2011 Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
It’s going to be an amazing evening of stomach-cramping entertainment as a league of top UK and US comedians take to the stage with the aim to raise £20,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support. The event will be hosted by Ed Byrne and the full line up will be announced in July.

In addition to the event, The Big C is a voluntary organisation that raises money for charities providing support for those affected by cancer. The organisation was launched in 2010 by Edinburgh residents and arts professionals, Mhari Hetherington and Barry Church-Woods, who both have personal experience of the fantastic work carried out by Macmillan Cancer Support.
